3Shape has released a complete digital solution for orthodontic clinics that combines the 3Shape TRIOS digital impression scanning system with the 3Shape Ortho Analyzer program.
The new TRIOS Ortho solution system provides intraoral scanning, clinical validation of the impression and direct transmission of information to the orthodontic laboratory. The integrated 3Shape Ortho Analyzer provides orthodontists with tools to create digital research models from the resulting impression and additional tools for case analysis and treatment planning.
When replacing traditional methods with a digital impression system, orthodontists have a wide range of business benefits, such as reducing the time spent working with the patient, improving patient comfort, and reducing the number of repeated and temporary impressions. The digital format of the impressions allows orthodontic clinics to reduce the cost of storing them and makes it easier and more convenient to access the necessary information. TRIOS Ortho’s integrated communication tools make it possible for orthodontists to discuss cases and treatment plans in 3D with laboratories and colleagues, which contributes to more effective collaboration and the achievement of the most favorable results for patients.
3Shape has combined the Ortho Analyzer that users like with the TRIOS system, so that orthodontists can make the entire workflow completely digital, from taking an impression to the laboratory. The scanned print is loaded directly into the Ortho Analyzer program, which is part of the TRIOS Ortho solution. Ortho Analyzer makes it easy to create a digital research model that includes a virtual database, and perform treatment planning using 3D and 2D tools, virtual installations, and digital articulators. The virtual model can then be optimized for digital design in laboratories using the 3Shape Appliance Designer program and for processing on CNC machines.
